- Healer Education Assessment and Referral Program (HEAR)
Educates medical and pharmacy students, house-staff, faculty, trainees, and hospital staff about burnout, depression, and suicide. Provides confidential, online assessment of stress, depression and other related issues. Makes personalized referrals to local mental health clinicians and other community resources. - Physician Wellness website
A dedicated resource for UC San Diego Health physicians to provide a consolidated site of wellness programs and resources. - WE CARE Physician Peer Support program aims to create a safe and confidential space where physicians can seek guidance, share experiences, and receive emotional support from their peers. - Headspace Care Support
All clinical UCSD physicians, UCSD-GME physicians are eligible for free 24/7 on-demand behavioral coaching through the Headspace Care app. Bebehavioral coaching is available in English and Spanish. Dependents 18+ are eligible to use Headspace Care under an eligible user. - Physician Well-Being Committee
Dedicated to recognizing and offering assistance to staff physicians who have problems with substance abuse or physical or mental illness, which impair their ability to practice safely and effectively. Confidentiality will be assured depending upon the severity of the situation and the immediate risk to patient safety. If you are anxious about making this first call, you may want to contact the committee Chair initially without disclosing the name of your colleague, just to learn more about how the committee can help. - CARE at the Sexual Assault Resource Center
Free and confidential services to UC San Diego students, staff and faculty who are victims and/or survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. - Health Care Facilitator Program
Knowledgeable counselors whose job is to help you solve complex problems with your medical, dental or vision plan. Their assistance is free and confidential. - Optum
Provides counseling resources and support services, including a Provider Search tool for finding an in-network provider based on your preference for type of service, three no-cost visits, and multiple online resources. Members are also entitled to free legal, mediation, and financial consultations via calling 1-866-808-6205. Counselors are available via telephone 24 hours a day. Sign in with an access code and register for logging in. - Rape Aggression Defense Classes (RAD)
