All Health Sciences Faculty

• Reassess-Realign-Reimagine: A Guide for Mentors Pivoting to Remote Research Mentoring

• A process to enhance mentoring relationships in remote settings, with emphasis on the needs of diverse mentors and mentees.

• The Science of Effective Mentoring in STEMM | The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine

• A practical resource guide for mentoring practitioners to create and support viable, sustainable mentoring support systems.

• Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER)

• Provides resources for mentee training, mentor training, and facilitator training. Provides additional online resources for mentors and mentees.

• National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN)

  Connects highly knowledgeable and skilled mentors with motivated and diverse mentees, ranging from undergraduate students to early-career faculty, and facilitate long-term, culturally responsive interactions between them.

• The Fairplay Game

  Provides players with the opportunity for counterstereotypic imaging/perspective taking. Players take the perspective of Jamal Davis, a Black graduate student on his way to becoming a renowned professor.

• National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD)

  Provides online access to mentoring, tools, and support needed to be successful in the Academy. Focuses on helping academics achieve extraordinary writing and research productivity while maintaining a full and healthy life off campus. UC San Diego is an institutional member of NCFDD.
